Dana Point Maternity Session
Not every maternity session needs a partner, Sometimes the most powerful version is just you and your baby to be. We met at Strands Beach in Dana Point right at sunset leading into blue hour — when the sky goes soft and all the colors turn a beautiful blue and purple tone — for a session that was entirely about this mother.
Solo Sessions Move at Your Pace
Without a partner or kids to coordinate, a solo session is mellow. We're not managing anyone else's mood or attention span. We move slow, we follow the light, and you get to actually be present in the experience instead of managing it.
You deserve your maternity session to be a time to honor your body that is growing a whole human!
Why Strands Beach Works So Well for This
Strands is a little tucked away compared to other Orange County beaches, which makes it ideal for a solo session. It's quieter, with more room to breathe, and the cliffs act as a stunning backdrop.
If you're considering a maternity photographer in Dana Point or anywhere along the South OC coast, this is one of my favorite spots to recommend.
Booking Your Solo Maternity Session
The ideal window is between 28 and 36 weeks — far enough along for a beautifully round belly, close enough to your due date that the season feels real. I work with expecting mamas across Orange County, including Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, San Clemente, and Irvine.
If you've been on the fence about doing this for yourself, this is your sign.
