Growing up, I loved looking through old photo albums, my grandparents' and the ones my parents put together. Seeing those same images again and again is a big part of what shaped my memories of being a kid.

That's a lot of why I'm drawn to family photography now. It's so easy to take a million photos on your phone, and then it all becomes overwhelming and none of it feels special anymore. I want to give you something different: images you'll print, put in an album, and actually look at again in ten years.

I'm a recovering perfectionist. I used to want every single image to be a beautifully framed, perfectly lit masterpiece. But I've come to realize the best moments are usually the unplanned ones, chasing after a toddler who won't stay still, the way you lean into each other without even noticing, your spouse cracking you up when they think the session's already over. Those are the ones that hold up.

Your session doesn't need to be a big production to get there. Sometimes that means we plan a simple activity: playing with bubbles, running through sprinklers, walking the dog on your favorite trail, or maybe it just means sitting together somewhere you already love. Either way, I follow your lead - kids or pets included. I'll give you a few gentle prompts to get things moving, but the goal is never perfection. I always promise we will get at least one smiling portrait (that classic holiday card photo) but beyond that it’s the candid, unposed moments that are my priority. 

My style is what I'd call elevated candids, playful and a little nostalgic, with true colors and soft light. Your photos will feel timeless, like something you'd find in that old photo album years from now.

I've always been an observer, endlessly fascinated by people and the little windows into their lives. Photography became the perfect way to honor that, an invitation to step inside your world for a short time and help preserve your memories. As a mother to a young child, I fully understand how fast time moves and how significant these photos are in the future. 

I photograph families, couples, and expecting parents all over Orange County, from Newport Beach to Irvine to Costa Mesa. All families are welcome here, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, blended, chosen, however yours looks.
